Looking for an outdoor or indoor adventure for youth that teaches team building, communication, cooperation, and leadership skills. The Youth Center near Kansas City provides four kinds of workshops for school - age groups wanting to learn in an adventurous setting.

Radical Challenge

The Radical Challenge is a program developed by the Youth Center to promote communication, teambuilding, and cooperation through adventure games. Youth are placed in situations that demand leadership, trust, risk-taking, listening, creativity and physical effort.

This program is a school field trip opportunity for 5th grade on up. The program falls under experiential education or hands-on learning. This is a four hour workshop. For more information call (816)781-7733

The Safari Challenge is an outdoor adventure program designed to promote communication, team building, and cooperation through initiative games. The program is offered to youth adventurers who love the outdoors and are prepared to meet the challenge! A variety of land and water activities will be set in our "Jungle". Some of the challenges are: mud hill, zebra zip line, quicksand, Tarzan swing, Deadman's bridge, water brigade, and much more!

The youth workshop series help youth develop their leadership technique, increase their confidence by placing them in leadership situations, and teaches them how to work together. Our goal is to partner with youth after-school programs targeting youth who are not the "regular" leaders in school. The workshop breaks down stereotypes, teaches students about understanding their peers and challenges them to set goals to positively change their school environment. Initial workshop is held at the Youth Center, with follow-up workshops during or after school.

The Igloo Challenge is an indoor teambuilding program designed to promote communication, teamwork, and cooperation through initiative games. The programs, also combines Talking with T.J. techniques into the challenges.
